Bird Hide Walk, Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area

Walk to the bird hide that begins through eucalypt forest on a flat bitumen path, then becomes a winding boardwalk through the mangroves. The hide is 800 metres from the Shelter Road car park. The council says the flat tracks in the area make it easy for all ages and fitness levels. City of Gold Coast says its conservation estate is an effortless and free way to enjoy nature; dogs are not allowed in conservation areas.
