Berry Springs Nature Park
Last updated October 2026
Spring-fed swimming pools, picnic lawns and a forest walk next to the Territory Wildlife Park, about 10 km along Cox Peninsula Road.
Berry Springs Nature Park is an NT Government park south of Darwin with clear, spring-fed swimming pools surrounded by trees and aquatic life, plus shaded picnic and barbecue areas. Visitors can swim, picnic, go bushwalking and birdwatching on the monsoon forest and woodlands walk, look for wildlife, see World War II remnants and join ranger-guided activities. The park sits next to the Territory Wildlife Park, so the two can be combined in a day trip. It is open year round from 8am to 6:30pm. Swimming may be closed during the wet season from October to April; as of 17 October 2026 the park's status table showed swimming, the picnic area, kiosk and boardwalk loop as open. Facilities include a kiosk, toilets, barbecues, fire pits and drinking water. Children must be supervised at all times, jumping or diving from trees, the bridge or concrete edges is not allowed, and pets are not permitted. Check the park status before going, especially in the wet season. Berry Springs is not on the NT Parks Visitor Pass list.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
