Bathers Beach swimming enclosure

Seasonal City of Fremantle swimming enclosure at Bathers Beach in the centre of Fremantle, giving a protected area to swim in the sea. The 340 m barrier runs between the breakwaters and sits about 125 m offshore. It is put in place for summer (intended October to April) and removed over winter; the City said it would return in October 2026. Free beach swimming. The City reminds swimmers to check the SharkSmart app before going in the water.
