The Esplanade Youth Plaza is the skate and wheels space inside Esplanade Park on Marine Terrace, which is also home to the Skyview Wheel. In the April, January and September school holidays the City of Fremantle works with Whereabouts Skateboarding and Freestyle Now to run BMX, scooter and skating competitions and events there. Esplanade Park also has a large play area shaded by Norfolk Island pines, seating and public toilets, and is free for casual use. Within a short walk are Panache cafe (about 130 m), Little Creatures (about 135 m) and The Bistrot Cafe (about 195 m).
