Avoca Beach Surf Life Saving Club

Volunteer surf life saving club at Avoca Beach on the Central Coast. Its Junior Activities Committee runs Avoca Nippers every Sunday at Avoca Beach during the summer season, from September to March, for children from 5 years of age (U6 to U14 age groups). Younger children start with surf awareness and safety through the SurfEd program; older nippers take part in board paddling, surfing, swimming, sprinting, wading and games. The only compulsory uniform items are a club Nipper cap and a pink rashie. Each nipper family needs at least one registered Nipper Parent Member. From 13 years of age nippers can work towards the Surf Rescue Certificate. 2026/27 season starts Sunday 11 October 2026 (U8-U14 8am, U6-U7 9.30am).
