The Australian PlantBank is the Botanic Gardens of Sydney's plant conservation research and seedbank facility at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan. Visitors can watch scientists in the laboratories and seedbank, explore the Living Laboratory garden beds, and use the interactive Diversity Wall. The website says PlantBank is open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (closed weekends), and also that volunteer guides run tours on Fridays and weekends. Tours are by donation and booked online or through the Visitor Centre on 02 4634 7935; groups larger than six book an exclusive group tour by email. Visitors of all ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Self-guided and guided visitors see the labs, drying room and seed vaults, and guided tours also include the cryo storage room.
