Austinmer Rock Pool is a pair of twin rock pools at the southern end of Austinmer Beach, overlooked by a historic pavilion; the southern pool is narrower and slightly longer than its northern neighbour, and both are popular year-round. Toilets, change rooms and showers are on site. There is no lifeguard service at Wollongong's rock pools, and council says most suit swimming at low tide. Supervise children and keep eye or hand contact at all times.
