Wangal Park is a 4.2-hectare Burwood Council park on the corner of Monash Parade and Royce Avenue, Croydon, planted with trees and native species as a refuge from the surrounding urban area. The council lists a playground, a skate park, a half-court basketball area, a paved sports area, paved walking trails, picnic tables, shade, a drinking fountain, toilets and barbecues, and marks the park as accessible. Photos on the council page also show a covered play area, a flying fox and outdoor exercise equipment. The park is open 5:30am to 6:30pm in winter and 5:30am to 8:30pm from the start of daylight saving. The undercover barbecue shelter, with two double-burner barbecues and six fixed tables, can be hired for parties through Burwood Council's park hire application; enquiries go to the council on 9911 9911.
