UNSW Hockey Club is a field hockey club with men's, women's and junior teams, based at the UNSW David Phillips Sport Field, 32 Banks Ave, Pagewood, which has a water-based synthetic turf. Its junior section fields mixed boys and girls teams in the Sydney East Hockey Association competition at Under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, Sydney Metro teams at Under 16 and 18, and modified-game teams for children under 9. The junior winter season runs from about March to mid-September, with younger age groups mostly playing on Saturday mornings and older teams on Friday evenings. Players need a mouthguard, ankle-covering shin pads, hockey socks and a stick (new players can borrow one for a few weeks). New players fill in the Intent to Play form, then register online with Hockey NSW. Junior fees are not shown in readable text on the website.
