Free fenced nature-play garden with water play and a treehouse in Centennial Park for ages 2-12, open 10am-5pm daily except August.

The Ian Potter Children's WILD PLAY Garden is a free, fenced nature-play garden in Centennial Park, with its entrance off Grand Drive opposite the York Road gates. Centennial Parklands says it suits children aged 2 to 12 under parental supervision, and parents must watch their children. Features include artesian water play areas, dry creek beds, a bamboo forest, banksia tunnels, turtle mounds, a treehouse, a giant slide, tunnels and a wild play area for building cubbies. It is open 10am to 5pm daily and closed every August for maintenance, and it may close temporarily at other times. The Bar Coco kiosk inside the garden sells coffee, drinks, gelato and food from 10am to 5pm. There is an amenities block with toilets. The parklands suggest bringing hats, sunscreen, sports shoes, a change of clothes, swimmers and towels, and no glass. The garden cannot be booked for exclusive use.
