Volunteer-run ride-on miniature railway in Nambour, open the 4th Sunday of each month; $3 per ride, under 5s free with an adult.

The Sunshine Coast Railway Modellers Society runs a ride-on miniature railway in the Miniature Railway Park on Florence Street, Nambour. Members operate steam, electric and petrol locomotives on a dual-gauge (7¼ and 5 inch) ground-level track that crosses a bridge over Namba Creek and runs down onto the Petrie Creek flats. A pedestrian over-bridge lets visitors look down on the trains. Public train days run on the 4th Sunday of each month (except December) from 10am, with last rides at 2pm, as of October 2026. Rides are a $3 donation per adult per ride, or passes of 6 rides for $15 or 20 rides for $50, usable over several visits. Children 4 and under ride free with an adult. Enclosed footwear must be worn to ride. Bookings are not required, and dates can change, so the society posts updates on its Facebook page.
