Rockingham Beach

Rockingham Beach faces north and is sheltered from the prevailing coastal winds; the City of Rockingham describes safe, calm, clear water for most of the year, a short walk from the foreshore dining precinct, family-friendly playgrounds and picnic areas. Two seasonal swimming pontoons sit off Rockingham Foreshore (Railway Terrace and Flinders Lane, 100-110 m offshore) from the last week of November to the end of March, and beach access matting is laid in front of the Beach Bowl from late October to April. The City's pages do not mention lifesaver patrols here.
