Rock It Climbing at 54 Bathurst Street, Hobart has indoor roped climbing, bouldering and climbing tunnels. There is no minimum age: full-body harnesses are available for small children, and the kids bouldering and tunnel area suits children of all ages. Children under 12 must be actively supervised by someone 18 or over, and climbers must be 12 to learn to belay. The Junior Development program runs squad and team classes for ages 6 to 18; call (03) 6234 1090 to enrol. As of October 2026 a day pass is $20 adult, $18 student (12-18), $16 child (11 and under) and $80 for a family pass of four entries and harnesses. Groups under 10 need no booking. Wear light clothing and closed-toe shoes,. Open Monday to Thursday 8am-10pm, Friday 8am-9pm, weekends 8am-8pm.
