Riverslide Skate Park is a public, YMCA-run outdoor skate facility in Alexandra Gardens, Boathouse Drive, just outside the Melbourne CBD. It is staffed all year, with an onsite skate shop and a cafe at the top of the park overlooking the bowls. Riverslide runs skateboarding lessons for ages 5 to adult. Private lessons (one-on-one or small groups of two to four) are available seven days a week between 11am and 6pm. Group lessons include First Push for beginners aged 5 to 14, Skate Club for children aged 6 to 12 who already have basic skills (beginners are asked to do a private lesson first), an advanced Skate Club working towards Skate Park League competitions, and girls' lessons. Prices are shown in the online booking system, where bookings open 14 days ahead. Lessons can be cancelled due to weather.
