Perimeter trail is a 7km horse riding, mountain bike and walking trail in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park near Terrey Hills, run by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Graded easy, with a suggested time of 3 hours, it follows the edge of the park past grass trees, angophoras, lookouts and picnic spots, and links to Long Trail, which leads to Peach Trees lookout over Cowan Creek. To get there, follow Mona Vale Road, turn into Booralie Road, then Nerang Avenue. Park entry fees apply: as of October 2026, $12 per vehicle per day, or $4.40 per adult and $2.20 per child in vehicles with more than 8 seats. NPWS suggests bringing a hat, sunscreen and drinking water. Pets are not allowed, mobile reception is limited, and parts of the park can close in poor weather or fire danger, so check current alerts before visiting.
