University museum of preserved human disease specimens at UNSW Kensington, open weekdays; adults $10, children $5.

The Museum of Human Disease at UNSW houses about 1,500 preserved human tissues and organs donated for education, covering diseases such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes and genetic disorders. The public can visit for self-guided exploration with a printed guide, displays and staff on hand to answer questions. The museum notes that some people, including children, may find real human tissue challenging and suggests considering suitability before visiting. Photography, food and drink are not allowed inside. It is on the ground floor of the Samuels Building, UNSW Kensington. As of October 2026 it is open weekdays 10am-4pm and closed weekends and public holidays. Entry is $10 for adults and $5 for children. The museum is wheelchair accessible via a lift (call on arrival), and baby change facilities are on Level 1. It also runs curriculum-linked high school excursions for booked groups.
