Mawson's Huts Replica Museum is a full-size replica of the huts at Cape Denison used as the main base of Douglas Mawson's 1911-14 Australasian Antarctic Expedition. It stands on the Hobart waterfront at the corner of Argyle and Morrison Streets, opposite Constitution Dock, and is run by the not-for-profit Mawson's Huts Foundation to raise money for conserving the original huts. It is open seven days: 10am to 5pm in peak season, and from May to August 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on weekends. It is closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day and Christmas Day. As of October 2026, entry is $15 for adults, $12 concession, $5 for children aged 6 to 16, free for children 0 to 5, and $35 for a family of two adults and three children aged 6 to 16.
