Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club

Volunteer surf life saving club at San Remo in Mandurah. Its Woodside Nippers program is for children aged 5 to 13 (age groups Under 6 to Under 13). Each year Nippers work through a Surf Education Award covering surf safety, board paddling, swimming, wading, beach activities, basic rescue and first aid, with an emphasis on fun and participation. Sessions run approximately November to March, arriving 8am for an 8.30am start and finishing about 10.30am; the program runs for about 16 weeks with a break over Christmas and New Year. The club also runs Starfish Nippers, an inclusive program for children and youth with additional needs (Under 6 to Under 18). Children must be 5 by 30 September to join. The club is a Kidsport club.
