Mandurah Eastern Foreshore

Families' Pick 2026 · Perth: picked by the Funtivities team as a standout for families in Perth.

Last updated October 2026

Estuary foreshore in Mandurah with a playground, free barbecues, swimming spots and year-round dolphin spotting, with dolphin cruises nearby.

Mandurah's Eastern Foreshore runs along the estuary on Mandurah Terrace, about an hour's drive south of Perth. It has a children's playground with shady picnic tables and free barbecues nearby, several swimming spots with free facilities, and long walkways for walking and cycling. At the northern end, the Boardwalk precinct has a cinema, cafes and places to eat, and it is a short walk to Dolphin Quay with indoor markets and the marina. Mandurah has more than 100 resident bottlenose dolphins in the Peel-Harvey Estuary, and they can be seen year round from guided cruises, hire boats or from the shoreline around the foreshore and marina, though sightings are not guaranteed. Guided dolphin cruises leave daily from Mandjar Bay and are described as suitable for all ages; prices are set by each cruise operator and are not published on the visitor site. In summer the reserve hosts markets and festivals including Mandurah Crab Fest. Trains run from Perth to Mandurah station with buses to the foreshore. Details as of October 2026.
