Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club patrols Leighton Beach on weekend mornings from 7:30am to 11:30am (adding afternoon patrols to 2:30pm from December to February) and on most public holidays, from 4 October 2026 to 29 March 2027. A grassed area a short walk up from the beach has electric barbecues, picnic tables, toilets and a kiosk. The City lends beach wheelchairs at Leighton over summer, and dogs are allowed in designated areas.
