The ride goes up through gentle rapids, shingle beds and quiet basins, with 360-degree spins, and passes rare Huon Pines; riders may spot a sea eagle or a platypus. Life jackets are supplied; bring weather-appropriate clothing. As of October 2026 fares are $105 for adults, $75 for children under 17 and $95 for seniors. Bookings are made online through the Book Now button, and departure times vary. The operator caters to families, schools and large groups. Rides cancelled within 24 hours are charged in full, and within 48 hours at 50%. Huon Jet is open every day from 9:30am to 4pm, closed Christmas Day. The Boatshed Cafe on the riverbank serves breakfast, lunch, cakes and coffee.
