Glow Worm Caves Tamborine Mountain

Last updated October 2026

Purpose-built glow worm cave on Tamborine Mountain where 30-minute guided daytime tours show glowing glow worms up close.

The Glow Worm Caves on Tamborine Mountain is a purpose-built glow worm cave at Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery, set in replanted rainforest. Because the cave is kept dark, the glow worms glow during the day. Access is by a 30-minute guided tour only: a biologist guide leads visitors along a rainforest boardwalk, shows a short film, then walks through the glow worm tunnel at a slow pace. The site says tours are family friendly and suitable for most ages. Prams are not allowed in the cave (they can be left in the gift shop), there are three steps down to the cave, and it is not wheelchair accessible. No photos, light-up shoes or loud noise are allowed inside. Entry to the Frog Hollow frog and insect exhibit is free with a tour. As of October 2026 the online booking page lists the tour at $34, and booking online is cheaper than buying on the day. Open 10am to 4pm, 7 days, except Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
