Fogarty Park is a large parkland lined with trees at the southern end of the Cairns Esplanade. Cairns Regional Council describes it as featuring a sound shell and being suitable for large-scale community events, with parking within walking distance and a toilet facility at the eastern edge of the park. The Esplanade parklands are free for casual use, and the council's Esplanade BBQs are free and open from 6am to 9pm daily. Council also notes that the Esplanade has three free-entry playgrounds along the foreshore, and that toilets, showers, lockers and parking are located along the Esplanade. The council does not publish opening hours or a list of play equipment specific to Fogarty Park (as of October 2026). The park is the starting point for the Anzac Day services march.
