Extinction Trail at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Last updated September 2026

The Extinction Trail is the Gold Coast's year-round dinosaur walk, inside Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Follow the trail back to when dinosaurs and megafauna ruled the earth and meet a quirky Muttaburrasaurus, an enormous Austrosaurus and a fierce Velociraptor, along with other ancient creatures. It's included in your general admission ticket, so it's easy to add to a day of koalas, kangaroos and the famous lorikeet feeding. Download the sanctuary's app for augmented reality that brings the dinosaurs to life, and see how many you can find along the trail. Good to Know Included with sanctuary entry: adults $70, youth (3-17) $50, concession $55, and under-3s free. The sanctuary is open daily from 9am to 4pm. Book online to save time at the gate.
