The largest of the six council-owned Sunshine Coast Holiday Parks (over eight hectares) and the only one with sites directly on the Maroochy River, with the surf beach out front. Families can paddle the calm river water, fish year-round (bait is sold on site) and swim at the Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre next door, which has 50 m and 25 m pools. There are 24 absolute-waterfront powered sites, unpowered waterfront tent sites, 9 cabins including 2 step-free villas, and a 4-bedroom beach house. Facilities include a camp kitchen, riverside barbecues, three laundry blocks, amenity buildings with a baby bath and accessible toilets and showers, and free Wi-Fi. Sites start from $78 a night; reception is open 8am-5pm daily.
