Clydesdale-drawn tram across the Causeway to Granite Island at Victor Harbor; two kids ride free per paying adult.

The Victor Harbor Tramway is a horse-drawn tram pulled by Clydesdales, running from the mainland across the 630-metre Causeway and along the north-east shore of Granite Island. Victor Harbor is 84km south of Adelaide. Families can ride both ways or ride one way and walk back across the Causeway. Trams run about every 40 minutes; as of October 2026 the first tram leaves Victor Harbor at 10:30am and the last runs at about 2:30pm on weekdays and 2:40pm on weekends, every day except Christmas Day, weather and horses permitting. One-way fares are $20 adult and $15 child (4-13); return fares are $30 adult and $25 child. Up to two children aged 4 to 13 ride free with each paying adult. Tickets cannot be booked online and must be bought from the tram drivers at the platform at the Causeway entrance. The tramway also runs a bookable behind-the-scenes stables experience to meet the Clydesdales.
