Valley Reserve at 80 Waimarie Drive, Mount Waverley is a council adventure playspace run by the City of Monash. Monash describes it as its first playspace of regional significance, designed for all ages including people with disabilities, so families can spend several hours there. Play features include rope climbing courses, a tree house, flying foxes, swings and slides, and logs and structures for balance and climbing, built with natural materials and set beside existing bushland. The reserve has sheltered barbecue and picnic areas, an upgraded public toilet, an upgraded car park and an outdoor learning area for bush education. An accessible pathway runs from the car park to one of the play terraces. Entry is free, as it is a public council park. In October 2016 the playspace won the Parks and Leisure Australia Award of Excellence in the above $500,000 category.
