Rainforest circuit, Maiala (D'Aguilar National Park)
Last updated October 2026
A 2 km circuit through subtropical rainforest that starts at Maiala day-use area on the edge of Mount Glorious, about 42 km from Brisbane's city centre. Queensland Parks grades it a Grade 3 walking track and suggests allowing 1 hour. The track passes strangler figs, ferns, palms and an old Sydney blue gum, crosses clear creeks, and has signs along the way. Maiala has free electric barbecues, picnic tables, flush toilets and grassy areas, and the roads are sealed for 2WD cars. The circuit itself has no wheelchair access. Bunya cones can fall from December to March, so do not walk under fruiting bunya pines. Nearby: Elm House Cafe (about 310 m) and Mount Glorious Cafe (about 560 m).
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
