Lambton Park's playground has had a stage 1 upgrade, which City of Newcastle says includes a large fort with slides and climbers, a three-berth swing set, a large inground trampoline, a rocker, a spinner and voice tubes. Stage 2 upgrades are expected to be finished in late 2026. There is a track where kids can ride bikes and scooters, open grass, a historic rotunda, barbecues, a fitness station, tables, toilets and parking. It is a public City of Newcastle park with no entry fee or booking listed, as of October 2026.
