The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory is a science centre at 1098 Military Road, Yeal, about an hour north of Perth near Gingin. Daytime visitors can climb the 45-metre Leaning Tower of Gingin, which leans at 15 degrees, and drop water balloons to repeat Galileo's falling-objects experiment, as well as visit the cosmology and biodiversity galleries, a hands-on discovery gallery and a 1 km Solar System Walk through bushland. The observatory runs guided stargazing tours with astronomers of about two hours. The centre is open Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm and Friday to Sunday from 10am, closed Mondays except on public and school holidays. As of October 2026, day entry is $15 for children 5 to 15 and $23 for adults, with under-5s free; observatory sessions run Friday to Sunday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at $33 per child. A café sells snacks daily. Tickets can be booked online.
