First Falls Walk, Morialta Conservation Park
Last updated October 2026
A Grade 2 walk in Morialta Conservation Park, about 10 km from the city, from the Morialta Falls trailhead car park along Fourth Creek through the steep-walled Morialta Gorge to First Falls. It is 1.6 km return from the trailhead (3.6 km return from the Stradbroke Road car park) and National Parks and Wildlife SA allows 2 hours. The wide hard-packed gravel trail rises gently and ends with a short boardwalk to a viewing platform below the falls; it is suitable for prams. Look for koalas and kookaburras. There are accessible toilets at the First Falls car park and at the Stradbroke Road picnic area, which has barbecues and the Mukanthi playspace. Entry is free and the park is open daily.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
