Belair National Park is South Australia's oldest national park, about 13km south-east of Adelaide with access via Upper Sturt Road. Families can visit the Adventure Playground, walk or mountain bike trails for all fitness levels, explore woodlands and lakes, and hire tennis courts and cricket pitches. Short walks include the 1km Wood Duck Walk at Playford Lake, which is mostly compact gravel and boardwalk. Entry on foot or by bike is free; vehicle entry is $14.40 as of October 2026, paid online or at the information office. The park opens 8am to 9pm in daylight saving months and 8am to 7pm in colder months, and closes on Catastrophic Fire Danger days. The kiosk at the Adventure Playground opens on weekends, public holidays and school holidays. There are no bins, so take rubbish home. Accessible toilets, a Changing Places facility, autism social scripts and a free-to-hire all-terrain accessibility trike are available.
