Escape Academy Cairns runs indoor 60-minute escape rooms upstairs at Level 1, 9B-13 Shields Street, Cairns City. Rooms are Hansel & Gretel (2 to 6 players, rated 5/10 and recommended for first-timers and families), The Alchemist's Lair, Pirate's Cove, Behind Enemy Lines and Y2K (4 to 10 players), plus VR escape games. Players must be 8 or older, under 13s must be accompanied by an adult, and some rooms are recommended for ages 10 and up. As of October 2026 prices are $50 per person for groups of 2 to 6, $45 per person for 6 or more and $40 per person for VR games. Opening hours are Thursday 3pm to 8:30pm, Friday 3pm to 9:30pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 10am to 8:30pm; Tuesday and Wednesday open in school holidays only.
