Eastern Beach Reserve on Geelong's waterfront has a 1930s shark-proof sea bath with an art-deco boardwalk, floating islands, a diving tower and a Children's Pool, plus picnic facilities and playgrounds. Life Saving Victoria lifeguards supervise the Children's Pool and diving tower from November to April: 1 November-21 December 12pm-5pm daily, 22 December-28 February 10am-7pm daily, and 1 March-19 April 12pm-5pm daily. The Children's Pool is open unsupervised from 20 April to 31 October and the dive tower is closed then. Parents must actively supervise children under 10, stay distraction-free and go in the water with children under 5. Dogs must be on a leash.
