Volunteer-run aircraft restoration museum at Parafield Airport, Adelaide, open Wednesday to Friday 10am to 3pm.
Classic Jets Fighter Museum is a volunteer-run aviation museum at Hangar 107, Anderson Drive, Parafield Airport, just north of Adelaide. Visitors see historic aircraft being restored in the working hangar, including an F4U-1 Corsair recovered from a lagoon in Vanuatu after a 1944 forced landing, which the museum says is believed to be the oldest surviving example in the world. The volunteers are happy to explain their work, and short tours show how wings, engines and cockpits are built. As of October 2026 the museum is open Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. Prices are not published on the website. Teachers and group leaders can book education sessions. The museum is on an active airfield, so visitors often hear aircraft, and parking is nearby. Enter through the Hangar 107 door on Anderson Drive.
Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
