City Skate

Last updated October 2026

City Skate is the City of Adelaide's skate park in Gladys Elphick Park / Narnungga (Park 25) in the West Park Lands, built for skating, BMX and other wheeled sports from beginner to advanced level. The council calls it the largest skate park in South Australia. It has an advanced bowl with shallow and deep ends, an 11 foot deep end, a taco and a cradle; a plaza with stair sets, rails, banks and quarter pipes; a Beginner's Street for learning to drop in; and a mini bowl for beginner skaters. Protective gear must be worn. It is open 24 hours, and visitors can switch the full lights on from sunset to 12:30 am, one hour at a time, using the button on the light tower. Free parking is at the rear of the park, entered via Glover Avenue. Within a short walk are Peter Rabbit (about 330 m), Waymouth Cafe (about 430 m) and Sushi Planet (restaurant, about 270 m).

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 23 October 2026.
