Families' Pick 2026 · Adelaide: picked by the Funtivities team as a standout for families in Adelaide.

Last updated October 2026

Escape rooms on Hindley Street, Adelaide, recommended for ages 10+ with family-friendly rooms; from $40 per player, under 7s free.

Fox in a Box Adelaide at 128 Hindley Street, Adelaide, has 11 escape rooms where teams of 2 to 6 or 7 players have 60 minutes to solve puzzles and escape; head-to-head versions of Prison Break and Bunker take up to 12. The venue recommends its rooms for ages 10 and above but says everyone is welcome; children under 7 play free but count toward the player number and must be with older children or adults. Players aged 14 and under need a guardian present at arrival and at the end of the game. For groups with children, game masters can add extra hints in Prison Break, Bunker, Mastermind Heist and Wild West Saloon, which the site calls its family-friendly room. As of October 2026, rooms cost from $40 per player. Rooms run Monday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm. Book online.
