The Children's Garden is a free playground area in Roma Street Parkland, behind the Amphitheatre and along Weeping Fig Avenue. It has two play areas with a vegetable garden and worm farm in between. The first area suits younger children, with a tee pee and mushroom stools for all ages, a spinner, balance beam and log crawl tunnel for ages 2-12, and a tree house, tunnel slide, bridge walk and log climber for ages 5-12. The second area, for slightly older kids, has chiming poles, a basket swing (3+), an embankment slide (4+) and a climbing structure with nets, bridges, a slide and rope climber (5+). Kids can also explore garden beds of flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables, including a small fruit orchard. Toilets and baby change facilities are at several points in the parkland, including the Amphitheatre, and The Garden Room cafe is at the top of Celebration Lawn.
