Capalaba All Abilities Playground

Last updated October 2026

Capalaba All Abilities Playground was Redlands' first all-abilities playground, opened in 2012 and co-funded by Redland City Council and the Queensland Government. It uses natural and built environments to encourage different types of play. Its key features are a musical forest, a sand play area, natural plantings, mounds and hilly areas, a giant climbing net, a flying fox with a harness seat, and a swings area that includes a wheelchair-accessible liberty swing. There are wide access pathways, perimeter fencing, a shelter and bench seating, with barbecue and picnic areas and toilets nearby.
