Canberra Miniature Railway

Canberra Miniature Railway, at the southern end of Jerrabomberra Avenue in Symonston, is run by volunteers from the Canberra Society of Model and Experimental Engineers. On advertised Sunday running days (10.30am to 2.30pm) children ride big trains and steam locomotives on the elevated track, and from age 3 the ground-level trains too; evening runs under lights include Halloween and Christmas events. Single rides are $5 and unlimited-ride wristbands $20 at the gate or $18 plus fee on TryBooking; under-3s ride free with a paying adult. Parking is free, there are toilets with baby change, a dining car sells food, and party bookings cost $50.
