Burden Park is a Greater Dandenong Council park on the corner of Springvale and Heatherton Roads, Springvale South. Its district playground is a timber adventure playground built in 1994 with help from residents, community groups and local schools. The council lists a ninja course, a basketball court, tennis courts, lawn bowls, walking and cycling trails on gravel paths, large open areas, barbecues, picnic areas, shelters, seating and a public toilet, along with disabled access and facilities. The Burden Park Tennis Club and Burden Park Bowls Club are based here and both cater for juniors. On-site parking is available. Buses 902, 811, 812, 813 and 979 serve the area, and Sandown Park station is 1.2km away. The park is open to the public.
