Volunteer-run miniature steam and diesel railway in Wynnum West, Brisbane: rides on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, 10am-4pm, $3 a ride or $10 for five.

Brisbane Bayside Steam Railway is run by the Brisbane Bayside Steam Railway Society, a club formed in 1989 that operates its trains for the public. Train rides run on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 10am to 4pm, and ticket money goes back into maintaining and expanding the facilities. As of October 2026, the society's Facebook page lists tickets at $3 for a single ride or $10 for five rides, paid by cash or EFTPOS, and gives Sunday 6 December as the last running day of 2026. Closed shoes are required to ride (passengers in thongs, sandals or Crocs are not allowed on the trains), and the club asks that an adult rides on each train with any children under six. Birthday parties can be booked in a covered picnic shelter or a fenced station area; contact the society by phone or email, or speak to a member at the ticket box on a running day. Catering is BYO, and a canteen selling sausages in bread and cold drinks sometimes operates. The whole park is alcohol free.
