Beta One at 1E/62 Ferndell Street, South Granville is a bouldering gym with more than 550 square metres of climbing wall and over 100 climbs, with new routes set every Monday and Thursday. The gym says it is designed for adults, but kids over 12 are welcome to climb under supervision. A parent or guardian must sign the waiver and supervise at all times, at a ratio of one adult to two children under 14. No one under 16 may use the upstairs training area. As of October 2026 a day pass is $26 for adults and $24 for students; climbing shoes are required and shoe hire is $7, while chalk is supplied. Hours are Monday and Thursday 4pm to 10pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 10pm, and weekends 9am to 9pm. There is onsite and street parking and a lounge serving coffee and snacks.
