Wembley Downs Tennis Club, on the corner of Ednah Street and Morden Street in Wembley Downs, is a family-friendly community tennis club founded in 1963. It has 8 grass courts, 8 hard courts, 3 synthetic grass courts and 12 pickleball courts. For juniors it runs Junior League all year round and a Junior Club on Fridays in Terms 4 and 1 from 5pm to 6:15pm, open to members and non-members of all abilities, with supervised on-court games and play. Parents can play too or relax at the club bar. Coaching is provided through Tennis Excellence, with enrolment via the coaching link on the club website, and Junior League and Junior Club enquiries go to Mitch Vernon on 0417 185 183. The summer season runs from October to April. Prices are not published on the website. Free parking is available next to the club.
