Basketball training SkillsLab at Kingborough Sports Centre, Kingston, plus junior academy programs; SkillsLab bookings $15 per half hour.

Swisherr Hoops Academy is a basketball training business. Its former facility at 103 Melville Street, Hobart, closed in April due to the sale of the building. In the Hobart area it now runs a SkillsLab at the Kingborough Sports Centre, 10 Kingston View Drive, Kingston, open 6am to 11pm seven days for members only. The SkillsLab is a multi-function space with a wall-mounted 10ft hoop that cannot be lowered; it is limited to four players, and dunking and scrimmaging are not allowed. As of October 2026 it can be booked online for $15 per half hour, or used with a SkillsLab+ membership at $60 a month. Swisherr also runs Shooting Academy (an 8-week term program) and the invite-only Platinum Academy through the University of Tasmania, describes pathways from U12s to seniors, and takes junior teams to the Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament in Melbourne.
