Rottnest Express runs frequent year-round passenger ferries to Wadjemup / Rottnest Island from Fremantle (B Shed and Northport at Rous Head) and from Barrack Street Jetty at Elizabeth Quay in Perth, where the trip includes a Swan River cruise. Same-day return fares from Fremantle, including the island admission fee, are $87.50 per adult, $45 per child aged 4-12 and $240 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children; infants under 4 travel free if not occupying a seat. Registered WA children aged 4-12 in the Quokka Club travel free and pay only the admission fee. Arrive 30 minutes before departure. Cafes near B Shed include Freo Merchant (about 50 m) and kazoomies (about 75 m).
