Last updated October 2026

Guided 2-hour climb over the Adelaide Oval roof with city views; ages 8+ and over 125cm, child Day climbs $95.

RoofClimb is a guided climb over the roof of Adelaide Oval. Climbers wear a RoofClimb suit and safety harness and follow a leader across the Western Stand roof and a link bridge to the Riverbank Stand platform, 50 metres above the ground, sitting in rooftop stadium seats and trying an optional lean-out, with 360-degree views from the hills to the coast. The whole experience takes about 2 hours, including a 90-minute climb of about 1.25km with ladders, stairs and open metal walkways. Children must be at least 8 years old and over 125cm tall; child climbers (8-15) get an achievement certificate. As of October 2026, a Day climb costs $125 adult and $95 child, and a Twilight climb $135 adult and $105 child. Dawn, Night and cricket match-day climbs are also offered. Climbs run in rain and wind but are postponed for storms, hail, very high wind or extreme heat. Book ahead and check in 15 minutes before your briefing at the RoofClimb Centre.
