Prahran Aquatic Centre at 41 Essex Street, Prahran, is a City of Stonnington pool with a heated 50m outdoor pool, a toddler pool, a spa, sauna and steam room, and a cafe. It is used for lap and recreational swimming and squads, and the council runs learn-to-swim programs. Accessibility features include pool hoists and accessible toilets and change rooms. The centre is open all year: Monday to Friday 5:45am to 7:45pm, Saturday 6am to 6:15pm and Sunday 7am to 6:15pm, with aquatic areas closing 15 minutes earlier. It is closed on Good Friday and Christmas Day. As of October 2026, a child swim pass (ages 5-15) is $7.20, an adult pass is $9.90 and a family pass for up to 4 people is $25.10. An adult supervising a child without swimming pays $4. Everyone entering pays a swim pass, including people sunbaking or using the showers.
