National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant

Last updated October 2026

Free Christmas street parade through the Adelaide CBD with floats, bands and Father Christmas, on Saturday 14 November 2026 from 9:30am.

The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is a free community street parade through the Adelaide CBD that has welcomed Father Christmas to the city since 1933. It has floats, clowns and elves, bands, dancers, choirs and police horses. The 2026 Pageant is on Saturday 14 November, starting at 9:30am. The route begins at South Terrace, runs north along King William Street, around Victoria Square, along Wakefield Street, Pulteney Street and North Terrace, and finishes at Beehive Corner on Rundle Mall, where Father Christmas gives his Christmas message. Families watch from behind the Blue Honour Line; the organisers suggest arriving early, using public transport, and leaving ladders, pop-up shelters and umbrellas at home. Police officers along the route hand out lost child wristbands. There are wheelchair access areas, a Hidden Disability Sunflower site in Victoria Square and quiet sensory spaces, with no ticket needed. It is also broadcast live on Channel 9 and 9Now from 10:30am. Details as of October 2026.

Facts checked against the venue's own website on 17 October 2026.
