Mount Hawthorn Community Centre Naturescape

Braithwaite Park is the fully fenced park beside the Mount Hawthorn Community Centre on Scarborough Beach Road. Its nature play area was designed with local Year 6 and 7 students mainly for 10 to 14 year olds and has logs, water features, bamboo pods, stepping stones, ropes, obstacles and two flying foxes. A separate traditional playground with lower monkey bars and slides suits toddlers and younger children. The park has barbecues, drink fountains, picnic tables and public toilets, with free parking around the park. Entry is free, and two areas can be hired for birthday parties through the City of Vincent's Spacetoco booking system.
